David Jennings established UAP in his spare room, with just a computer and a great idea; to manufacture installation-ready door knockers that were pre-drilled and finished.

Since 1996 he has grown the business and team significantly, expanding the company’s customer base and product portfolio both organically and through acquisition. Today UAP designs solutions around customer needs, committed to developing high quality, market-driven products. David has always championed innovation and invested in expert development of fire and security products, while nurturing loyal partnerships with manufacturers across the world.

Steve Cox,
Managing Director

Steve brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the bathroom and door industries, including key roles at Hill & Smith Group and Epwin Group. With deep industry knowledge and a focus on driving commercial activities, Steve is committed to leading UAP through its next phase of growth, while ensuring adherence to critical industry regulations.

Nicola John,
Managing Director FDM

Nicola’s extensive knowledge, connections, and expertise have raised standards of safety across the fire industry. After the Grenfell Tower inquiry, Nicola addressed a significant need in the market for skilled people to carry out safety and compliance checks and specialist fire door training to help raise safety standards. In 2023, she founded Fire Door Maintenance Ltd, and launched the UK’s first practical training centre for industry, by industry.

Adam Lumley,
Chief Financial Officer

With over 18 years of global commercial finance experience, Adam brings a wealth of expertise to the business. He is responsible for maintaining efficiency and profitability as we pursue our ambitious growth plans. He has a wide-ranging skill set, such as process re-engineering, from his experience in SME, large corporates and consultancy. His proven track record in driving successful businesses globally, equips us to identify further expansion and efficiency opportunities, aligning with our long-term strategy.

Steve Kendall,
Group Operations Director

Steve boasts 25 years in the industry, with a wide range of specialisms including the manufacture of composite doors and fire door sets. He keeps operations and procurement running smoothly, making sure materials meet our quality standards, and arrive in time to meet customer needs. He also ensures all products meet fire testing standards of the industry, including the internal and external auditing of products and the systems and procedures they are tested to.

Barry Halpin,
Group Sales Director

Barry has worked in the industry for 24 years and has spearheaded UAP’s continuous growth in recent years. With a proven track record of exceeding targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences, Barry is the driving force behind our sales department's success. He has overseen UAP’s development into a business primed for high growth, using his extensive industry knowledge and strategic vision to drive innovation and quality.

Wendy Rushton,
Operations Director

Wendy has been with UAP for over 22 years, taking on the role of operations director in 2019. She is responsible for the smooth running of the operations team, including the administration and warehousing functions. She ensures the team works effectively together, hits daily targets and provides excellent service to customers. She also heads up the UAP Training Academy, actively strengthening the team’s core skills.

Kamila Kasperowicz,
Marketing Director

With over a decade’s experience, Kamila has driven our marketing success, helping to build the business into an award-winning door hardware supplier. Her work ensures we communicate the quality and value of our products. She is responsible for our marketing strategy and brand development across all marketing channels and audiences, using effective communication, collaboration and delegation across different departments.

Pan Huiyi,
Far East Supply Chain Director

Pan has worked with UAP for over 16 years, and plays a key role in the success of our Genuine Lishi auto locksmith tools. She helps drive product sales globally, using her experience in exporting sales and skills in sourcing across the Far-East. She established and manages a dedicated team in China and nurtures a network of contacts and customers worldwide, contributing to our global reach.
